Ester understands he's some form of lower-class demon. He knows that his mother is human and that he's likely a hybrid of some sort, or a mutt, with cat-like qualities that leave him to suspect he's something like a half-demon cat. He's actually a Cambion, which is the offspring of a succubus/incubus, and a human. In this case, an incubus with cat-like traits slept with his mother. That being said, he's wholly unaware just how much sex plays into his life. When he starts to feel low on energy, or hasn't been fed, his vibrant eyes fade to a dark, black, charcoal color.
